Wow, it's been a long time since I've posted anything and there have been a few events recently that moved me to where they lingered on my mind while I chewed on them to come to a better understanding. One was the Kentucky Clerk of Court that refused to issue marriage licenses to same gender couples because of her religious convictions. Here's my conclusion,
You can not legislate from a religious view in the USA or you might as well live in a theocracy like Iran and others. This issue is about equality and civil rights under the law, not your religious beliefs. Within the very scriptures which are valued as the inerrant word of God that the refusing Clerk subscribes to is this:
In my view the Clerk is a law breaking bully who is rebelling against her God's servants and should be fired, fined and jailed for multiple counts of white collar hate crimes, as well as maybe stoned to death under the laws of her God.
As for the politicians who rally around her and her supporting band of fools, they're clowns and I'm glad they're showing it to the voting public.

Next is the Muslim female airline flight attendant who is suing the airline for being suspended without pay because she has refused to serve alcohol due to her religious beliefs. Here's my conclusion,
Hey anyone and everyone has the right to believe truth and or fiction. I understand it gives their souls hope. But you don't apply for, study and pass classes that clearly bring you to the unmistakable understanding that it requires actions that your religious beliefs prevent you from performing. If you happened to become a new convert to a religion and your new beliefs prevent you from doing what you used to do, then you should seek another position within the company, which the company has no obligation to accommodate. You have simply refused to perform the duties for which you were hired and that constitutes many causes for termination.
The problem in her even being able to bring this suit is a Federal law that is too vague.
Imagine that. Laws that paint too wide of a brush stroke. Now there's nothing new there. Like laws about Marijuana / drug users and those about sex offenses.

Within the very scriptures which are valued as the inerrant word of God that the refusing Clerk subscribes to is this:
[Romans 13New International Version (NIV)
Submission to Governing Authorities
13 Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. 2 Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. 3 For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and you will be commended. 4 For the one in authority is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for rulers do not bear the sword for no reason. They are God’s servants, agents of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer. 5 Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also as a matter of conscience.
6 This is also why you pay taxes, for the authorities are God’s servants, who give their full time to governing. 7 Give to everyone what you owe them: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor.]
